Botanica's second office plant of the week is the fantastic Zamioculcas Zamiofolia, also known as the ZZ Plant. This tropical plant is native to Eastern Africa and can be found in Kenya and all the way down to South Africa where it is sometimes used as a medicine to treat earache.

It is incredibly hardy and can go weeks or even months without water. It is also very tolerant to darker areas making it the perfect office plant for those unlit corners. Due to it's thick stems and large number of leaves, the zamio is a great air purifier making it a perfect addition to an office plant display.
